Vasa Trail Cross Country Ski Report – 02/13

It’s a cold one this morning. Jim and John are on the trail and report 2-4 inches of fresh snow and temps in the mid to low teens. They are renovating the skate lane and setting new classic tracks. The 5k and 10k have been completed and they are currently moving clockwise in the "Wall" area ( 9k on the 25k ).

The work done yesterday on the 3k was very successful. Dave and I filled in the water crossing and packed snow over it. There are still thin areas along the trail but ski reports have been positive. The 3k is a multi -use trail which allows skiing, walking, running and dog walking. Hopefully snow conditions will allow us to groom it regularly from here forward.
More snow is on the way this week 🙂.
Peace, Glen
