This photo from yesterday is worth sharing again – look at all the snow in the woods and on the trail!

Groomer Mike is snowcombing the skate lanes this morning The snow surface is fast, ground up snow crust crystals, making for fast and fun skiing. The tracks are firmly entrenched and are fine in some spots, but quite glazed in other spots. Conditions are overall very good, despite small bits of debris that are beginning to surface in a few of the predictable spots on Tall Pines and Manitou. There are 5 to 7 inches of snow packed on the trails, and 8 to 12 inches in the woods. Do your snow dance!

The Stone Turtle Cafe is open for lunch! Warm up with a bowl of Classic or Chipotle Veggie Chili, or treat yourself to a Turkey Trot panini. Fresh baked cookies and decadent Bosco cheesy breadsticks are on the menu too – enjoy a post-ski snack and craft beverage in front of the fire!

It’s the last week of February, which means spring skiing is right around the corner! It’s the perfect time of year to try out a back country ski package, or surf the spring crust on some skate skis.
