Vasa Trail Cross Country Ski Report – 02/26

Skated the backside this morning (Timber Ridge -> The Rock) and oh my gosh it’s fast. There’s plenty of control and I didn’t find any icy spots.

The groomer’s were able to scratch the surface just enough to generate a little corduroy in most places.

I didn’t jump in the classic tracks because they were filled with leaves. Other folks have mentioned they are getting icy.

With temps forecast to stay below freezing, anytime today would be a great time to get out.

John groomed the skate lane on all loops this morning and reports very leafy conditions. Classic tracks are holding up well but are starting to get icy. If you ski this morning be very cautious as the trail surface is very hard. Time for an epic communal snow dance 🙂. Looks like the snow storm is going south of us 😞. Maybe we will get some lake effect?
Peace, Glen
