Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 03/13
Nice classic skiing thanks to ever skied before me. Lots of snow.

Grooming Update: Disregard my earlier post that we would be grooming. Checked the trail system early this morning and found that it is much too wet to groom today. The temp simply did not drop below freezing overnight and that left the fresh snow on top and underneath saturated with water. Overnight temps for tonight look favorable for a good Saturday morning groom. Lodge is open for self serve today and skiing won’t be bad, just soft.

So we are definitely in Spring skiing territory which means freeze/thaw cycles. As of today we will be putting caution tape on all hill loops like C, G,H,I and Z as they will very fast and not recommended. We will try to keep all open trails in a safe condition as best we can until we get some significant snowfall that would allow us to recondition the entire system. There is lots of good skiing left,especially for skating, just use good judgement and stay safe out there.
