Noquemanon Trail Network Cross Country Ski Report – 04/25

Thanks for a great snow season! We tried to leave you a little bit of corduroy for a Saturday am ski but we couldn’t get the snow to lay down smoothly tonight. Maybe the ginzu was telling us it’s time.

It will be a little rough to Grand Central but hopefully Friday’s melting will have left you with a smoother surface farther out. There is still good coverage in many areas for the adventurous.

Thanks to everyone that supports the trails and an extra thank you to each of you that kicked in a few extra dollars to extend the season. We groomed until April 24th in 2020! How awesome is that?

Trails are busy. The trails are multi-use. Josh and Neal had a face off on Green Loop that ended poorly this morning. Please be attentive to those around you and slow down as appropriate and where sight lines are limited so all can enjoy their time on the trails. If you are on a bike, please yield to those on foot. If you are descending, yield to those climbing. You are responsible for recreating within your ability AT ALL TIMES. Have fun, be safe, enjoy the 4th!

It was a collision, not a face off.

As a frequent person “on foot” on the trails, I have no problem yielding to a biker. It is easier for me to step off the trail than for a biker to get off.

This just in...some people mostly just care about themselves.

You mean don't be like the guy coming down new yellow on a gravel bike and comes plowing into me breaking my brake lever off and potentially sending both us off the cliff. First thing he does is start yelling at me that it's a downhill only trail. It's literally labeled new yellow climb online. He could have killed both of us and he started yelling at me that I shouldn't be riding uphill on yellow trail.

People are trash.

In socal nobody gets yielding to climbing traffic

We’re going to go there... and setup our tent so it touches that one!

“Socially distancing”

Enjoy that time before the weekenders arrive.
