XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/13

Happy Snowy Morning!

We received roughly 8 inches of heavy, dense snow throughout Friday night and Saturday. Groomer Mike began packing the trails last night, and made good progress on the Rolling Hills trail. Due to the incredible weight of the snow, which has caused many trees to droop down and a couple of trees to fall down, grooming will be a project today for Mike and Butch! The best groomed conditions will be later, once the grooming team has had some time to clear, pack, snowcomb and set tracks. We hope to have the majority of the trails groomed for skating and classic by noon today. Skiers are still welcome to ski this morning before grooming is complete. If you see the groomers out there, please give them a wide berth – they appreciate it greatly!

The XC Ski HQ rental desk and Stone Turtle Cafe will be open today as well (takeout and outdoor dining only). Please bear with us as we adjust to the current regulations! We look forward to seeing you!
