Caberfae Peaks Snow Report – 12/14
We received a total of 8" of natural snow throughout this past weekend’s snow event. The snow machines fired up again last night around 7 pm and we’ll keep them running the entire week. We have some optimal conditions for snowmaking with night time lows dipping into the low teens for several nights this week.
We plan on opening up on either Friday or Saturday, December 18th or 19th, depending how snowmaking progresses. Lift hours will be 10 am to 5 pm every day from opening through December 24th. The lift & rental rates will be our regular rates. See more info on hours below.

It’s still very much winter at the Peaks.
We are open Thurs-Sunday this week from 10am-5pm. Spring Carnival is this Saturday and the weather looks fantastic! The final weekend of the season is March 28 & 29. See you on the slopes! #caberfaepeaks #SkiMichigan

South Peak Lift sustained significant icing during the freezing rain event Sunday & Sunday night. This icing event was followed by very cold temperatures that has made the ice very hard and difficult to remove. The Lift Maintenance Crew is working hard to safely and methodically remove all the ice from the lift. Please understand this a long process and your patience is appreciated. The crew still has a long way to go. However, the temperatures are forecasted to moderate on Thursday and Friday this week, which will help. We are now planning to have the lift open by Saturday, and we will be back to 100% open for the weekend. Please continue to check back for updates.

13” of snow in the last 24 hours and 15” in the last 48 hours and it’s still snowing! Lifts are open 10 am to 5 pm every day through March 22nd and again March 28 & 29. Spring Carnival is March 21.

For safety, we are unable to open any lifts today due to high winds. Current and forecasted wind gusts are over 40 mph.
We apologize about the inconvenience. Lift tickets and rentals purchased in advance will be refunded.
