Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 12/20

We received 3-4" of snow yesterday. Grooming is underway with efforts currently focused on all the East Side Trails. Fresh skate lane and tracks with excellent coverage on the Snowmaking Loop and decent conditions in the woods. A few thin sections under the pine trees but easy to negotiate..

Covid guidelines reminder:

-masks are required at all times in all buildings
-no indoor dining is allowed/you may eat on the decks or around the fire pits
-building capacity is 10 people at a time. Please limit your time indoors to 20 minutes or less
-if you are part of a larger group, please have one member come inside to check in. If it is busy you may have to wait in your car until it is your turn. We will set up a list and text you when we can accommodate you in the shop.

Thank you for your cooperation.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Looks like today is the calm before the storm. Planning on close to a full system groom today. East side first, Pines loop and then West side. There will be some thin spots and scattered debris in the woods, but overall trails are tracked over a solid skate deck. Based on the rainy/sleet forecast tomorrow, we expect to be CLOSED. Hopefully the snow returns Sunday night, Monday. That should set us up for a great week of skiing. Open 9 to 5 today. #forbush #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichiganLooks like today is the calm before the storm. Planning on close to a full system groom today. FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Posting a day early so you can make your plans tomorrow!
We are entering our Holiday stretch. Open tomorrow, 9 to 5, December 26 through January 5th. Then back to normal, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Trails are in good shape and there is snow in the forecast. The entire trail system is open, tracked throughout. We have been out clearing leaners and face slappers. Expect some thin spots and some tree debris in the wooded areas. Due to the weather forecast tomorrow for sleet/freezing rain, the man made snow loops might be the only grooming undertaken. #forbush #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichiganPosting a day early so you can make your plans tomorrow!
