Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 01/09

Saturday 9, 2021-

We plan to groom all of the east trails today. West side was groomed yesterday. Expect the east and west trail trails to be in good shape for both skating and classic. The west trails have a few more dirty spots than the east, but those areas can be easily avoided.

There is one small open patch on the top of a south facing hill and a little grass on another hill, again both are easily avoided. I used my good skis the last two days. Pines loop still needs more snow to groom it.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Ski trail extensions on Badlands, Cry Baby and Rollercoaster with a forestry mulcher were completed today! The Badlands extension bypasses Two Step hill to create a better flowing trail over undulating terrain and a longer, more gradual climb back into Badlands. On Rollercoaster, the turn at the end of Dorothy’s Dip has been lengthened to allow more run-out after the long downhill before turning back to the trail. On Cry Baby, the hard right turn after a downhill that we added last year, now has a longer runout before returning via a sweeping right hand turn. #forbush #whatsnew #SkiMichigan ...
