XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/11
Conditions are absolutely fabulous. It may be a little hard to believe, but the entire trail system still a lot of snow, both packed on the trail and in the woods. The snowshoe trail is gorgeous, too! All trails are open. Skating lanes are being snow combed and are in excellent shape, and classic tracks are also in great shape. There are 8-13 inches of snow in the woods, and 3-7 inches packed on the trail.
The Stone Turtle Cafe is open today for take-out and outdoor dining at one of our six outdoor fire pits. Cap off your ski with Bob’s Favorite Tuna Panini, Great Lakes Chips and a pickle! Or, have a steaming bowl of classic chili!
We have lots of skate skis in stock, and some excellent skating packages available for purchase in-store, online, or by phone. The demo center is open too, if you want to try before you buy!
