Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 01/11
No grooming today so went out on my classic no wax and did all of A, B, C, & D. Tracks are firm at times icey, both Heavens are doable with a good snow plow unless you really like speed.

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 12/15, Wow Snowmageddon at VS for last two days. Thank you Miss Superior for The Lake Affect. John will be grooming the system today. John reports 18 inches of snow in the woods and 6 to 8 inches packed on the trails. Lodge open 7 days a week from 10 am to 4 pm. Volunteers staff the desk Thursday-Sundays. UPDATE: John went through H Trail for the 1st time today. It is very rough. I would avoid that trail until we get more snow. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan

The Lake Affect Snow just kept coming. John lost the battle to keep up with the snow today. We asked for more snow and we got it.

The lodge will be keeping the fire going and I suggest hand and toe warmers for your ski. We have snow in the forecast and he plans to groom everything Saturday except for H. Beginning of C trail is rough today from tractor tracks.
