Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 01/21
Sunshine at 10 am. Grooming held up from yesterday. Please pick up sticks and debries on the trail and report any trees down after yesterday’s high winds. Thank you it makes grooming faster.
Trails are in nice shape from yesterdays groom today. Likely there will be some debris on the trails in spots from the high winds we had yesterday so feel free to take a moment and help clear them when you can. We appreciate the help!

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 12/19 and winter is returning, lower temps, a little snow and more hopefully on it's way. Very high winds today. The roads are very icy. The lodge won't be open today. You ask do I have any good news? John is out grooming and removing trees from the high winds. John is still unable to groom H and the 1st part of G. Very wet, need to freeze and more snow. #valleyspur #SkiMichigan

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 12/15, Wow Snowmageddon at VS for last two days. Thank you Miss Superior for The Lake Affect. John will be grooming the system today. John reports 18 inches of snow in the woods and 6 to 8 inches packed on the trails. Lodge open 7 days a week from 10 am to 4 pm. Volunteers staff the desk Thursday-Sundays. UPDATE: John went through H Trail for the 1st time today. It is very rough. I would avoid that trail until we get more snow. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan
