XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/09

The Turkey Reuben is perfect for after skiing – in front of the fireplace, no less!

Conditions are outstanding. Groomer Butch reset tracks yesterday, which are in excellent shape. The skating lanes will be snow combed again this morning by Mike. We have 12-18 inches of snow in the woods, and 3-8 inches packed on the trails. All trails have full coverage and are in fantastic condition for skating and classic. Even Groomer Butch was raving about the conditions yesterday – and no one has a higher bar than Groomer Butch!

The Stone Turtle Cafe is open for outdoor dining, as well as 25% capacity indoor dining! Try a Turkey Reuben, with oven roasted turkey, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. Wash it down with a Bell’s Two Hearted IPA!

We have some great cross country ski clothing in stock that will keep you warm out there, including brand new items from Kari Traa for women!

– Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Erin, Gill, Missy, Krista, Alex, Bradley, George, Mike, Butch, Will, Joel, Donnie, Josh, Josie, Annie, Lissa, Brian and the crew
