XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/10

Words can’t describe the beauty of the winter landscape on days like yesterday!

The trails are in the best condition of the season. The classic tracks are firm, deep and excellent, and the skating lanes are level and packed to perfection. Groomer Mike will snow comb the skating lanes again this morning. We have 12-18 inches of snow in the woods, and 3-8 inches packed on the trails. All trails have full coverage and are in fantastic condition for skating and classic. Once you’re out there and moving, it truly doesn’t feel cold!

The Stone Turtle Cafe is open for outdoor dining, as well as 25% capacity indoor dining! Try a Pesto Perfection wrap, with hummus, sun dried tomatoes, pesto, provolone cheese, spinach and red onion, grilled and served with chips and a pickle. Wash it down with a sparkling water, or a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon!

We just received some awesome womens cross country ski jackets and layering pieces from Kari Traa! And of course, it’s all on sale. Come shop when you come to ski!

All the best,

– Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Erin, Gill, Missy, Krista, Alex, Bradley, George, Mike, Butch, Will, Joel, Donnie, Josh, Josie, Annie, Lissa, Brian and the crew
