XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/22
Lots of folks enjoyed the sunny skis and the live music on the sun deck this weekend!
We received 2-3 inches of "the best kind of snow for grooming" (according to Groomer Butch) last night. The conditions are just fabulous. Butch snow combed and set fresh tracks on all the trails this morning. We have 14-24+ inches of snow in the woods, and 6-10 inches packed on the trails. You are going to have to pinch yourself out there!
COMING UP:
Sunday, Feb 28th: If you’re 19 or younger, join us for the 27th Annual Junior Muffin Race! The Junior Muffin Race this year will be a single skier freestyle race (instead of a relay as in years past). The course will be approximately 6km of rolling terrain. There are also Mini Muffin races for ages 11 and younger, with shorter distances. Awards will be given to top three females and males, and for best costumes! The Stone Turtle Cafe is open for outdoor dining, as well as 25% capacity indoor dining! Enjoy a Bob’s Favorite Tuna Panini and a hot cocoa (ask for whipped cream) after you ski!
