Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 02/23
Temperatures stayed above freezing overnight and will rise quickly to the high 30’s so no grooming again today. Colder temps and some snow expected tonight so we will plan on a full groom early tomorrow.

Shortly after grooming was complete snow began. Get out early for the best conditions before this afternoon's warm up. The ice on the trees collected more snow and they are very low hanging branches. 6 to 10 inches of new snow and the poor old Jeep is having tough time and is over heating. FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> Saturday the 21st and John Cromell is having a very challenging groom but plans to groom all trails. Very heavy snow that doesn't want to pack. I recommend bringing your fleet of skis and see which ones work the best. We really need your help flicking sticks on the trails. The trees have lots of ice and snow on them. Please don't ski by sticks. Please Mother Nature take your chill pill and not this up and down weather. MAGNUS please come home. The lodge will be open. #valleyspur #SkiMichigan
