XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/07

German Dave’s ribs were devoured by many at Ribs & Blues yesterday!

It was a great day with awesome live music and delicious food at Ribs & Blues yesterday! Conditions remains very good on the Rolling Hills, Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, and Trappers Cabin trails, thanks to snow moving, good grooming, and cooler temps during the day and overnight. There are some thin/icy spots and debris on all the open trails, but each marginal spot is navigable.

This morning is the Michigan Cup Relays, which will take place on the Tall Pines, Wild Turkey, Trappers Cabin, Mackinaw Cut, and Rolling Hills trails. We kindly ask that skiers stay off of these trails between 11am and noon. If you ski before 11, please give groomers a wide berth (i.e. step completely off of the trail) so they don’t have to slow down for you!

The Stone Turtle Cafe is open for outdoor dining, as well as 50% capacity indoor dining. Enjoy another great day of spring skiing at XC Ski HQ!

All the best,

– Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Erin, Gill, Missy, Krista, Alex, Bradley, George, Mike, Butch, Will, Joel, Donnie, Josh, Josie, Annie, Lissa, Brian and the crew
