Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 03/13
We were able to recondition A.B.C.D.H.X.Y and W yesterday with very good results. Classic tracks are well formed and skate deck is flat and firm on those trails. We did not do any big hill loops like G.I and Z. Just a couple water holes that are very easily avoided and will be froze over today. Conditions should be quite good. We will do some touch up grooming this morning just on some skate lanes. Get out early as it’s supposed to hit 50 today!

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> Today the 23rd of March Doris Geyer and I (Peggy) made tracks on A and B Trails at Friends of Valley Spur Some other skier most have started up top and came down Heaven. They also went towards Z trail to either do Z or Heart Atack. The 4 plus inches of snow on top of yesterday's crust helped to do this. It was a good ski with my metal edge skis from Southbay Outfitters. These are great skis and Ted has them on sale. REMINDER: grooming has concluded for the season at VS. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan
FROM Munising Bay Trail Network - MBTN >> We’re working on getting the snow bike loop at the upper parking lot at Valley Spur opened back up.
If you need a place to get outside and get some fresh air grab your snowshoes or wide back country skis and join the Panking party.
We’ve packed a double wide trail on the first part of the crazy 8 loop to make it easier for the groomer to make a few laps. The second loop of the figure 8 needs Panking too. The more the merrier. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan
