Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 03/18
Thursday-March 18, we received a little bit of sleet snow on top of the couple of inches of snow from Tuesday. This little bit of new snow should make for some nice skiing tomorrow on the snowmaking loop.
We will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9-5. There will be limited hours on Friday in the shop from 11-2.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Temps went below zero last night and some light lake effect snow is falling. We will be grooming, check Nordic pulse on our website later this morning for the fresh groom. We still have 100% coverage on our trail system. Open at 9. Gates close at 5. #forbush #SkiMichigan
FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> The weird concrete snow that we received from the last storm turned into sugar mush yesterday once it was groomed. It rained this morning and is close to freezing. It's to warm to groom with the Pisten Bully at this time. We are going to try to use the Tiddtech to smooth out the skate lanes on the loop. If the base is too soft for the snowmobile we will not continue grooming. Classic tracks are icy at this. Colder temps tonight will allow us to groom on Monday. Base is in great shape with 100% coverage. #forbush #SkiMichigan

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> We plan on being open today but the overnight rain and temps above freezing do not bode well for any new grooming. Temperatures go below freezing tonight so we plan on a full system groom for Saturday. #forbush #SkiMichigan

Grooming plan for skate and classic (might change depending on weather): East side trails will be groomed tomorrow. FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Well, the storm left us with a weird mess of frozen snow. We spent over an hour trying to break it up and access the doors of the shop, yurt, ski school and vault toilets. We were unsuccessful with the vault toilets, but will try again once it warms up. Wednesday's plan is to get the piles of built up cement snow out of the entrances and get the parking lot plowed. We will also check the trails for downfall.
We plan to open up this Thursday through Monday. Looks like another great week of skiing is on tap. #forbush #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan
