Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 03/27

Looks like Saturday might be the last day for groomed skiing. Larry will groom up the main snowmaking loop. The shop will be closed. Come on out for one last ski.

Sunday is not looking promising with all the rain in the forecast, but we’ll be keeping an eye on it for any changes.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing --> Spring came three weeks early this year and all that is left is this small patch of snow on home run hill. Normally, we would still have most of the loop intact at this time of year. We survived our lowest snowfall ever with only 70 inches this season, instead of our normal 140 inches. Now to move onto our next project of seeding the snowmaking loop with grass to create a better base with less dirt and rocks. We are also working on a re-route of quick dip to create safer trails for our beginner skiers and to avoid the first spot to burn out snow. There is also the possibility of a 1 km addition to our yellow snowshoe trail pending DNR approval.... #forbush #snowphotos #crosscountrySpring came three weeks early this year and all that is left is this small patch of snow on home run hill.
