FROM Marquette Mountain >> Thank you to the ski patrollers of Marquette Mountain!
We are blessed to have over 50 volunteer patrollers that act as our ambassadors on duty and off. They provide first aid and transportation services to injured guests, monitor trail conditions, help with operations and provide the best race coverage in the Midwest!
What does a typical Winter week look like for them?
Six paid patrollers provide coverage during the week and the volunteer members provide coverage in the evening and weekends handling daily race practices, evening and weekend races, and special events on top of normal patrol duties. Our patrol also provides first-aid services to events like the Noquemanon Ski Marathon and special events in the area during the off-season.
Marquette Mountain could not operate without a high functioning and skilled patrol. The next time you see a white cross on red, stop and give them a high-five and hearty thank you-- they deserve it!
