The grooming crew has been busy on the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. The Trail has been groomed from Empire to Glen Arbor and North of Glen Arbor at Crystal View trailhead to the Lawr Farm (Wheeler Road). Conditions are really good.

Ski Michigan

FROM Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes >> A massive THANK YOU to our Volunteer Trail Grooming Team! ❄️⛷
It’s been an incredible winter on the Heritage Trail, with months of unparalleled cross-country skiing. This season would not have been possible without our dedicated volunteers who fought the cold, wind, and drifting snow to lay down tracks for us all. Not to mention the many downed trees they cleared!
Here’s a snapshot of the epic season they helped create:
❄️ Total Snowfall in Leelanau County: Over 10.5 FEET!
🧣 Highlights: A typical northern Michigan season defined by heavy snow events, significant drifting, and changing temperatures that required constant, expert management by our crew.
We are so grateful for your hard work and commitment to our community. You are the heart of the trail! Please show some love for our groomers in the comments. 👇 #sleepingbear #SkiMichigan
