The classic tracks on the Mackinaw Cut trail – and on most of the trail system – are still in great shape!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day, with cold temps and clear blue, sunny skies. Groomer Mike is snow-combing the skating lanes this morning, and the Trapper’s Cabin trail has fresh tracks where we have laid down man-made snow. The rest of the system has classic tracks from several days ago that are still mostly holding up very well! Conditions overall are great for skating and very good for classic skiing. UPCOMING EVENTS:

TODAY – Saturday, Jan 22nd: Bavarian Ski Festival! Dust off your Lederhosen and join us for a taste of the Alps! Enjoy a gorgeous day of XC skiing on the HQ trail system, then test your strength at Masskrugstemmen, with stein-holding contests for men and women starting at 2:00pm. Make a team of three, and ski in unison atop our giant pair of “Team Skis” in the Team Ski Time Trials, beginning at 3:00pm. Of course, we encourage all guests to dress in their best German attire for a costume contest at 4:00pm. Special guest German Dave will be serving delicious Bavarian fare, including soft pretzels, sausages, sauerkraut, and of course, German beer. Don’t miss this celebration of heritage and winter fun!

TODAY – Jan 22nd – FREE Ski Lesson at 10:30am. Limited to the first 25 participants. Register a the rental desk as early as 9:00am on Saturday.

Saturday, Jan 29th: Winter Feast! A five-course, gourmet dinner in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge, prepared by head chef, Will Bankston. Perfect for a special occasion! Reservations required – click here to reserve.
