German Bratwurst, beer, and some very authentic costumes made for a super fun Bavarian Ski Festival!

Yesterday may have set a new record for fun at Cross Country Ski Headquarters! Bavarian Ski Festival was a riot, and the bonus was that it snowed almost the entire day. Thanks to everyone who came out and participated in the festivities. Total precipitation was about 2-3 inches of lake effect snow, and Groomer Mike will snowcomb the skating lanes and set fresh classic tracks this morning. Snow depth in the woods is 8 to 10 inches. Snow depth packed on the trails is 4 to 6 inches.

Today’s forecast: A mix of clouds and sun during the morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 16F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy. Snow showers developing late. Low near 5F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 40%.

Tomorrow: Occasional snow showers. High around 20F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snowfall around one inch.
