XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/28

The Mason Tract just outside of downtown Roscommon is just beautiful right now, and fresh classic tracks were set this past week on the southern most 4 miles.

We received more snow yesterday, which groomed up very nicely this morning. Conditions are mostly great, with excellent skating lanes and good classic tracks. Tall Pines has a few thin/needly spots. Today is sunny and clear, and by the afternoon the temps will be just perfect for a glorious day in winter wonderland. Snow depth in the woods is 8 to 10 inches. Snow depth packed on most of the trails is 4 to 6 inches. Please keep an eye out for snow moving operations on the Trapper’s Cabin and Rolling Hills trails today.
