Vasa Trail Cross Country Ski Report – 02/02

Good Morning Badgers,

John and Jim have just reported in from the Wall. It’s 22 degrees with no new snow since yesterday’s sunshine and temps in the mid-40’s. They are smoothing out the skate lane, and have made attempts to set tracks where possible.
There are some areas with already thin snow coverage that did not benefit from yesterday’s warmup, and should be approached with caution:

-Under the large conifer as you approach the 2k Hill going clockwise
-The hairpin turn after descending Anita Hill clockwise (~5k post)
-The large conifer near the 20k post.
There may be other thin areas out there, so please ski carefully, but most of the trail still has good coverage. Hope you enjoyed a little shot of Vitamin D yesterday, and are feeling energized to settle back in to your snow dance routine!☀️❄️⛷

Cheers,James…02/02/22…8:10 AM
