XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/03

Much of the trail is in great condition, like this long stretch out to Trapper’s Cabin!

Conditions on most of the trails are good to very good, however the warm up on Tuesday did take a toll on some of the low-snow areas. Skating is great and classic skiing is good on Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, Trapper’s Cabin, Rolling Hills and Manitou. Tall Pines and Adventure are not groomed and are marginal. Snow depth in the woods is 6 to 8 inches. Snow depth packed on most of the trails is 3 to 6 inches.

Today: Cloudy. High around 15F. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy. Low -4F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Some sun in the morning with increasing clouds during the afternoon. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 16F. Winds light and variable.
