Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 04/10

A new record was set yesterday by Eli Brown on the man made snow loop. 100k! When asked if he would return today he said probably not. Something about being a little tired.😜.

Loop is being groomed as I post this. As Eli said “if you are skiing in April you don’t stop because you don’t know when you will be skiing again “

The loop survived the latest rainy warm-up. Temperatures dropped below freezing last night and set the snow up enough to do some recon. It still has full coverage and no standing water.

Temperatures will be dropping below freezing tonight and Saturday night, so we will be grooming both days this weekend and the shop will be open 9-5 both days. Should be some pretty good April skiing!

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> We will be open at 9 Monday, shop closing at noon. We will leave the side gate on Roberts rd open for those wanting to ski. We will not be grooming due to the warmup and rain in the forecast for the week.
Watching the weather, and if conditions are favorable we will continue operations this coming Saturday and Sunday. So, if you want to ski this week, we ask that you leave a $10 trail fee in the slot in the wall near the east front entrance. #forbush #SkiMichigan
