Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 12/28

The last two days have been really fun. With the heavy snowfall over the Christmas holiday we were able to groom the entire system and introduce two new trails.

The pines connector was extended to include an easier trail section getting skiers out to the Pines loop, that incorporates a portion of the Hartwick Pines trail system, and two seasonal roads. The new entrance is just to the right of the Badlands entrance.

Cry Baby 😢 was also opened up on part of the 80 acre parcel that Forbush purchased on a land contract. We were able to use capital campaign donations from you, our skiers, and income to put a down payment on the property. Forbush staff and several volunteers worked hard in a short amount of time to clear and get the 2.5k trail ready for snow. Hopefully you got a chance to try it out!

Ski Michigan

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> We will be closed starting Saturday March 7th until the warms temps and rain ends. Looks like temps drop on Wednesday and some possibility of snow. We will reassess the trails at that time and decide when we can open again. We have a lot of base on the the trails and fully expect most of it to survive.
Founders day is this Saturday. We will have hot dogs, black bean burgers, drinks and some sides. We usually do a potluck if you want to bring something to share. $10 trail fees for the remainder of the season. #forbush #SkiMichigan
