What a fabulous few days of skiing we have had! It has been incredibly fun to see so many people, of all ages and from all kinds of places, putting on XC skis and taking to the winter woods. The live music from Joe Frye yesterday was fabulous, and seeing so many folks revel in the apres-ski music scene was a sight to behold. Thank you to everyone who has been spending this holiday week with us!

The warm temps are making it too warm to groom this morning. Skiing early will offer the best conditions. The Tall Pines trail is the most vulnerable to snow melt and thus has the least desirable conditions today. All trails are open.

The Demo Center, Rental Desk and Stone Turtle Cafe are open today. Try a Mediterranean Skier Pita, with roasted veggies, quinoa, cucumber salad, feta and yogurt sauce on a warm pita. Wash it down with a Founders Solid Gold Lager and watch the kids fly (and sometimes crash) down the practice hill. As always, you can bring your own picnic and enjoy it in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge or on the sun deck.

Upcoming Events:

Saturday, Dec 31st – 10:30am: Free Beginner Ski Lesson! Learn how to cross country ski at our FREE beginner ski lesson! You will learn the basics of traditional (classic style) XC ski technique, plus hill climbing, descending, and turning. You will even learn how to get up when you fall down! Free lessons are limited to 25 people. Ski rentals are available at the rental desk on a first-come, first-served basis (we do not take rental reservations). The free lesson lasts 1 hour.

Sunday, Jan 1st: George Frye Live
From 2:00pm to 4:00pm, get down to some live, musical entertainment by George Frye! Kick back by the fire, indulge in some food and a beverage from the Stone Turtle Cafe, and enjoy a mix of covers and originals on acoustic guitar.

Saturday & Sunday, Jan 7th & 8th: Jordyn Ross Clinics
Learn from one of the best ski coaches in Michigan! Clinics offered for beginners up to expert skiers. These clinics were rescheduled from December, and some spots have opened up. Call 800-832-2663 to check availability and reserve your spot.
