Crystal Mountain Snow Report – 02/03

CLIPPER UPDATE: We are excited to share good news about the planned re-opening of the Crystal Clipper Quad chairlift! But first, a huge ‘thank you’ to our mechanics team, the Leitner-Poma manufacturing team and North Country Alpine Services who have been working day and night to repair the Clipper. The team is replacing the bullwheel bearings, which requires removing the approximately 5,000-pound bullwheel.

Our goal is to have the Clipper running this Saturday, February 4. If this changes, we will post an update here on our daily Snow Report. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and look forward to seeing you on the slopes! Shuttles to the backside of the mountain run daily starting at 9am.

FIRST TRACKS: Saturday, February 4 Crystal Mountain Premier Season Passholders, Premium Snowsports and Ultimate FSC Members and Crystal Community Ski Club have early access to the Loki lift at 8am.

RACING: NASTAR is available today through Sunday from 1pm-3pm on Cheers To Lou. Day-of registration is held at the windows at the Mountain Adventure Zone or at the top Cheers race shack at the beginning of the race. High school racing will take place today from 4pm-6pm on Buck, Lower Gorge, and Loki. CCSC is on Tucks 6pm-8pm and CCSC top team on Loki. Tomorrow there’ll be college racing on both Buck and Cheers to Lou starting at 9am.

CONDITIONS: Mainly cloudy with snow showers around this morning. High around 10F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%. Snowfall around one inch. This evening will be cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low 4F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. We’ve been making snow over the past few days, that combined with the recent snowfall should make for a fun day on the slopes! Bundle up, its a cold one today!
