Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 03/30
Things turned out great today. Skate lanes were firm, but easy to get an edge. Yesterday’s snow had filled the older classic tracks making things slower. People kept showing up all day.
Depending on temps in a.m. we will redo some of the skate lanes. Our Jeeps are down for major maintenance. John C or groomer has performed miracles to get them through this winter. Keep an eye on the weather and posts here.

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 12/14, Rain Rain go away. All day possible Rain. Then the overnight it will get colder and possible snow. The lodge won't be open today. Hopefully we will be back to winter on Friday. Stay tuned. #valleyspur #SkiMichigan

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 12/15, Wow Snowmageddon at VS for last two days. Thank you Miss Superior for The Lake Affect. John will be grooming the system today. John reports 18 inches of snow in the woods and 6 to 8 inches packed on the trails. Lodge open 7 days a week from 10 am to 4 pm. Volunteers staff the desk Thursday-Sundays. UPDATE: John went through H Trail for the 1st time today. It is very rough. I would avoid that trail until we get more snow. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan
