Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 01/02

It’s all about confidence, baby. ?

Our snowmaking team had a solid 36-hour run over the last few days, and our core terrain has been refreshed. Nighttime snowmaking temps return this week for more refresh opportunities, with the potential of expansion. #ThankASnowMaker

Rumor has it we could see some system snow next week. Pray to Ullr! ❄️

Don’t forget about daily night skiing through January 6. ?

Snow + Snowmaking

Old Man Winter is making his return! Our Mountain Ops team had the guns running from Sunday night through Tuesday morning. That’s around 36 hours of sweet snowmaking bliss. We have 10 runs open covering 75 acres of skiable terrain. Nighttime temps are looking good for snowmaking this week, so let’s keep the stoke alive!  Light a fire, burn some skis, and pray to Ullr. Rumor has it there could be some system snow moving in next week, but we don’t want to jinx ourselves…

Lift Plan

Over the holiday break, we plan to run Mountain Express, Boyneland, Estelle’s Way, and Victor for your skiing and riding pleasure from 9am-9pm. While This New Year refresh is looking good! Take advantage of some fresh cord this week. Thanks to our team for doing everything they can to keep the lifts and guests turning.

Night Skiing

The lights are on nightly through January 6, then we move to our regular Wednesday-Saturday night skiing schedule. Stretch out your day with some morning laps and evening turns. To preserve snow, we are not grooming between the day and night sessions through January 4 or until we receive/make more snow. Those big kitty cats will ruin the biscuits if they play on it too much. #PistenBullyHumor #Meow

Easy Change

We stand proudly behind our lift ticket policies. Our Snow Guarantee is in effect, as well as our Easy Change policy. Our Customer Care team is experiencing high call volumes, if you wish to move your lift tickets, fill out the online request form on our Easy Change page to time stamp and start the process. Your patience is greatly appreciated!

Ski Michigan

FROM Boyne Mountain Resort >> Some faces belong to a mountain. Anyone who's ever loaded Mountain Express knows exactly the face we mean.
Duane was more than a lift operator; he was a greeter, a candy man, a Legend with a capital L. The kind of person who made a chairlift ride feel like the best part of your day. If you were lucky, you'd settle into your seat and feel something land in your hood. A little piece of candy, and a whole lot of joy.
He did that for everyone. He didn't care if you were on your first run or your thousandth.
That's what made Duane so special. He was a constant reminder that mountains are shared places. We all come here chasing the same thing. Deep snow, first tracks, and a feeling that's hard to explain to anyone who hasn't felt it. Duane got that better than most.
Opening day is going to feel a little different this year. But we carry him with us in every bluebird morning, every act of kindness passed to a stranger on the lift, and every kid who gets their first taste of winter magic.
Rest in Powder, Duane ❤️❄️ #boynemountain #SkiMichigan
