FROM Marquette Mountain >> 🌧️ Operations Update: Saturday Closure + A HUGE Sunday Ahead! ☀️
Mother Nature is sending us some heavy rain tonight and tomorrow, so Marquette Mountain will be CLOSED tomorrow (Saturday, March 7th). Because of this, tomorrow's World Telemark Day MeetUp and Day 1 of the Hornbogen Memorial Race are officially on pause. We know it’s a bummer to miss a Saturday on the slopes, but safety and snow preservation come first!
🎉 The Good News: Sunday is Going to be EPIC!
We aren't letting the rain ruin our weekend. The forecast for Sunday, March 8th is looking sunny and spectacular, so we are packing all the action into one massive day of spring skiing and après vibes!
Here is what’s going down this Sunday:
🏁 The Hornbogen Memorial Race: All events have been moved to Sunday! The lineup kicks off with the Downhill at 9 AM. Come out for the coolest race in the Midwest!
🎿 Telemark MeetUp: Calling all free-heelers! Join us for a sunny day of camaraderie and dropping the knee. (And hey, why not jump in and compete in the Hornbogen while you're at it?)
🏂 Demo Day: The Compound will be set up at the base of Snowfield. Come test out some fresh gear from 9 AM to 3 PM!
🍔 Outdoor Bar & Grill: Opens at 11 AM right outside the Tbar. Grab a drink, get some food, and soak up the sun.
🎸 Live Music: Noah Bauer takes the stage at 3 PM to keep the après-ski energy high!
Stay dry tomorrow, rest up those legs, and we will see you Sunday for a bluebird day of racing, riding, and good times at the Mountain! 🏔️☀️
Race event info:
Snowfield Chair opens at 8:30 AM to accommodate the Downhill. There will be periodic closures across the mountain for race events, yet the mountain remains open to all guests.
Uphill Access:
‼️ Please note, there is no uphill access on Saturday, March 7th. The mountain, Mountain Shop, and Tbar are closed and there will be no staff or Ski Patrol onsite. ‼️ #marquettemountain #SkiMichigan🌧️ Operations Update: Saturday Closure + A HUGE Sunday Ahead! ☀️
