XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/23
Yesterday’s venture on Rolling Hills was just perfect!
The trails remain in great shape today. Groomer Mike is snowcombing the skating lanes and resetting tracks where needed this morning. There is approximately 12-18″ of snow in the woods, and about 7-10″ packed on the trails. The Stone Turtle Day Lodge is open for lunch and drinks.
Today’s forecast: “Cloudy. Snow likely this afternoon. High 31F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 80%. About one inch of snow expected.”

Saturday at 10:30, join us for a Free Learn To XC Ski Lesson. On Sunday, join us for Paella on the Sun Deck! A favorite XC Ski HQ tradition, Paella on the Sun Deck celebrates a world-renowned, Spanish rice dish, and offers skiers a hearty, flavorful (and entertaining!) feast. Prepared in a massive cast iron pan over an outdoor fire pit, this lunch comes from an authentic Spanish recipe from Paella master Ayo from Nerja, Spain, and is served piping hot with Saffron-spiced chicken, shrimp, mussels and peppers. Paella will be served at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
Friday, February 2nd, 6:00pm: Winter Feast
Indulge in a gourmet, four-course meal in the rustic Stone Turtle Day lodge at Cross Country Ski Headquarters. This year’s theme is Dinner in Italy, featuring creative and exquisite Italian dishes to satiate your soul on a cold winter’s night. New this year, add a wine pairing to your feast!
