Snowriver Mountain Resort Snow Report – 12/24

Christmas Holiday Terrain Outlook

The holiday stretch is shaping up to be one of the best we’ve seen in years at Snowriver. With 5 feet of snowfall already this season and more in the forecast for this weekend and through Christmas week, conditions across both Jackson Creek Summit and Black River Basin are quickly taking on a full mid‑winter feel.

As we move toward Christmas Day and roll into the New Year period, guests can expect a major terrain expansion across the resort. Based on current snowmaking progress, natural snowfall, and anticipated weather patterns, we are on track to reach approximately 90% open terrain by the start of 2026. The highlighted holiday terrain map reflects our best estimate of what will be available, including wide‑open groomers, great glades to explore, and expanded lift access on both mountains.

Thanks to a strong early-season storm cycle and consistent cold windows, our crews have been able to build deep, durable coverage—setting us up for excellent surface conditions and some of the best holiday skiing and riding Snowriver has offered in years. With another round of snow on the way, we expect the slopes to look and ride like the heart of winter throughout the entire holiday break.

We’ll continue to update the mountain report daily as additional trails and lifts come online. We hope to see you on the slopes very soon!
