Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 12/28

Last updated: Sunday 01:03 PM

OPERATIONS UPDATE

Disciples 8 remains closed today. The Alpine lift and terrain are open for skiing, but a shuttle from the village is required to access that terrain. We know this isn’t ideal during the holiday period.

The issue involves a specialized component that we have already sourced and are working to get on site for installation. Once installed, our maintenance team will have a series of adjustments and tests to complete prior to opening the lift. Rest assured, we will have Disciples 8 back in operation as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

WINTER STORM WARNING

Mother Nature’s about to deliver that late Christmas present we mentioned. Here’s what’s coming our way:

Monday night through Tuesday: Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and winds. We’re now looking at 8-12" with locally heavier amounts possible. Wind gusts could hit 45 mph, bringing significant blowing and drifting snow with periods of whiteout conditions.

Expect rapidly changing conditions with high winds and reduced visibility. If you’re heading to the resort, give yourself extra time and be prepared.

FIRST TRACKS

Starts December 26

For Season Passholders: Mountain Express opens at 8:30am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. Get those fresh corduroy lines before anyone else.

Not a passholder? The Boyne Forever Foundation First Tracks Access experience gives same-day lift ticket holders the same exclusive early-morning lift access. It’s your chance to earn those turns and support a great cause.

Regular Season Hours

HOLIDAY WEEK

And if you need to switch things up, head over to SkyBridge Michigan for Lights In The Sky, a winter experience featuring over 200,000 twinkling lights strung across the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS

Our snowmaking and grooming teams are actively working on closed terrain throughout the daytime hours. For everyone’s safety, please respect all closure signs and ropes. Uphill travel remains closed until further notice.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Smart skiing means better days for everyone. Know the code, respect the mountain, and keep your head up. When you’re paying attention out there, families feel confident, experts can push their limits, and everyone gets the best of winter up north.
