1/6 and there is no need to groom today. No new snow. I don’t think I have wrote that for awhile. We are experiencing warmer temps that will help settle our snow. Lodge will be open. Keep the fire going. See you on the trails.

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/5, John Carlson groomed the snow bike trail that is located at our upper parking lot. John reports it is soft. A few people snowshoeing on this trail would help. The Pines allow bikes, snowshoes and dogs on this trail. It is the only trail at VS that dogs are allowed on. Thanks for following the rules. #valleyspur #SkiMichigan

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/3, John Cromell reports there was finally alittle break in the snow last night so he was finally able to get the Ginsu out this morning and worked on flattering out: BHI, Stairway to Heaven, YWVX and Skaters Heaven. More snow heading our way this afternoon. FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/2, John Cromell just got done grooming Z and G trails. Time to do the Big Hills at Valley Spur. John estimates there is 36 inches of snow in the woods and 12 to 18 inches on the trail. Yes the trails are soft. That's what happens when you get a ton of snow in a short period of time. Guess what? It's still snowing. The lodge is open. #valleyspur #SkiMichigan
