XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/13

Golden Years Ski School was a blast last weekend! This Learn to Ski event for ages 55+ is an annual favorite, and is led by our amazing ski instructor Jim Bradley.

The temps are now above freezing, and snow is falling. The snow on the trails will continue to soften until things re-freeze tonight. Conditions are totally skiable, though will get softer and slower as the day progresses. Cold temps are in the forecast. We will not groom today in order to not make slush. There is well over a foot of snow in the woods, and 4-8 inches packed on the trails. The Stone Turtle Cafe is open today!

Weather Forecast

Today: Snow this morning will give way to lingering snow showers this afternoon. High 38F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight: Variably cloudy with snow showers. Low 19F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70%.

Tomorrow: Cloudy. Morning high of 23F with temps falling to near 10. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph.
