Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 01/14
1/14, no grooming today. 40 mile an hour wind, Lake Affect Snow and near white out conditions. John plans to get out and groom when the wind settles down. This will probably happen late tonight or very early tomorrow. This system should provide for very good skiing Thursday on.
I will keep you updated. The Lodge will not be open today.

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/13, John Cromell got out very early to get the trails groomed. If I was you I'd take advantage of today's groom and get out and ski. Tomorrow weather forecast calls for high winds and heavy snow. Not conducive for grooming. Temperatures are dropping for the weekend. The weekend we should be in good shape for skiing. FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/10, and John is grooming all trails but H. We didn't get new snow over night, but the temps are below freezing. John reports it looks pretty good but there is some equipment tracks on the skate lanes. We all need to help pick up sticks on the ski trails. Please don't ski by them. These sticks can destroy our grooming equipment. The lodge will be open today. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan

Saturday the 10th of January and we opened with a new groom and snow on the way.
