Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 01/16

Last updated: Friday 11:47 AM

100% OPEN!

All 65 trails across 415 acres are now open for skiing and riding. Devil’s Dive is back. The entire mountain is yours.

MORE SNOW THIS WEEKEND

A clipper is moving through today bringing a mix of system snow and lake effect snow. This is just the first of multiple clippers between now and Monday. We’re looking at a solid blanket of 4"+ by the end of the day, with isolated spots hitting half a foot.

Wind gusts of 25-35 mph are mixing in some snow squalls, impacting travel. If you’re heading out, give yourself extra time and be prepared for changing conditions.

Snowmaking is ongoing, and the crew is locked in, stacking up Victor Glacier and out core terrain with as much snow as possible. Give the crew a shout if you see them!

SLOPE HOURS

Monday – Tuesday: 9am – 4:30pm
Wednesday – Sunday: 9am – 9pm

SAFETY SATURDAY WITH SNOW ANGEL FOUNDATION

This Saturday, we’re hanging out with Chauncy Johnson from the Snow Angel Foundation for a day that’s all about looking out for each other on the mountain.

Meet us at the top of Mountain Express from 8:30-11am. We’re gonna talk about safe riding, watching out for your crew, and making smart calls on the slopes. Oh, and there will be breakfast burritos.Obviously. Then, we’ll tap a lap around the resort, stopping at Victor Warming Hut and the base area throughout the day.

FIRST TRACKS

For season passholders: Mountain Express opens at 8:30am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. Get those fresh corduroy lines before anyone else.

Not a passholder? The Boyne Forever Foundation First Tracks Access experience gives same-day lift ticket holders the same exclusive early-morning lift access (on select dates). It’s your chance to earn those turns and support a great cause.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS

Our snowmaking and grooming teams are actively working on closed terrain throughout the daytime hours. For everyone’s safety, please respect all closure signs and ropes. Great news, uphill skiing and skinning is allowed on designated routes during specific hours.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Smart skiing means better days for everyone. Know the code, respect the mountain, and keep your head up. When you’re paying attention out there, families feel confident, experts can push their limits, and everyone gets the best of winter up north.
