Some of the skate lanes will be soft due to all the new snow and drifting from yesterday's high winds. Another day of getting trees off of the trails and another day of picking up sticks on the trails. Please help out to remove sticks. Temps are ideal for skiing. FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/14, no grooming today. 40 mile an hour wind, Lake Affect Snow and near white out conditions. John plans to get out and groom when the wind settles down. This will probably happen late tonight or very early tomorrow. This system should provide for very good skiing Thursday on. I will keep you updated. Tomorrow weather forecast calls for high winds and heavy snow. Not conducive for grooming. Temperatures are dropping for the weekend. The weekend we should be in good shape for skiing.
