Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 01/22

Last updated: Thursday 09:12 AM

Gooooood morning Boyne Mountain! It’s Kyler, with today’s snow report.

You might not be able to tell we got over 3" now that the wind is picking up. We’re also looking at chances for another 3"+ of lake effect today.

That means the snow is AMAZING right now. The wind’s doing its thing, redistributing snow across the mountain, so you’ll find deeper stashes in protected spots and wind-affected areas elsewhere. It’s a treasure hunt, and that’s half the fun.

If you’re hunting for fresh snow, look for sheltered areas and tree lines where the wind hasn’t stripped it away. The groomers are dialed in as always, and honestly, even with the wind, conditions are still really good.

Cold Weather Incoming
Bundle up. Seriously. We’re under a cold weather advisory through Saturday morning, and it’s going to be quite chilly out there. Pack hand warmers wherever you go, take extra breaks to warm up, and don’t be a hero. If you’re cold, head inside.

SkyBridge and Iglu are closed Friday based on this cold snap. After that, everything will be open as scheduled starting Saturday.

With Big Mountain Energy,
Kyler

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS

Our snowmaking and grooming teams are actively working on closed terrain throughout the daytime hours. For everyone’s safety, please respect all closure signs and ropes. Great news, uphill skiing and skinning is allowed on designated routes during specific hours.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Smart skiing means better days for everyone. Know the code, respect the mountain, and keep your head up. When you’re paying attention out there, families feel confident, experts can push their limits, and everyone gets the best of winter up north.
