Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 02/01
It’s been a pleasure to post that all of our trails have 100% coverage pretty much all winter long. Temps are chilly again but moderating as the day goes on. East and west side trails get the fresh groom today. Pines loop was recently groomed and is in great shape as well. Open at 9. Gates close at 5pm.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful morning for the Forbush Freestyle. The grooming was top-tier, and the competition was even hotter!
🔥 Highlight of the day: A literal PHOTO FINISH in the 5k! Ava Higley and Walter Armstrong battled it out to the millisecond, both finishing at 17:26.
🏆 15k Overall Winners:
Male: Ryan Harris (45:17)
Female: Rebecca Davis (52:27)
Huge shoutout to everyone who tackled the Westside, Crybaby, Roller Coaster, and the Badlands today. You earned every bit of those famous chocolate chip cookies at the finish! 🍪

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> We will be open at 9 Monday, shop closing at noon. We will leave the side gate on Roberts rd open for those wanting to ski. We will not be grooming due to the warmup and rain in the forecast for the week.
Watching the weather, and if conditions are favorable we will continue operations this coming Saturday and Sunday. So, if you want to ski this week, we ask that you leave a $10 trail fee in the slot in the wall near the east front entrance. #forbush #SkiMichigan

We are going to keep up the momentum by grooming east side trails with the Piston Bully and freshening up the west side skate deck with the Tidd Tech tomorrow leaving existing classic tracks alone. Results have been springlike, fast solid skate deck early that softens with traffic and warming temperatures, and classic tracks that are fast early and variable in depth. Coverage is still 100%. FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> The rain is moving out soon and the temps will be dropping well below freezing tonight, allowing us to head out on the trails tomorrow. We still have 100% coverage, but expect that the grooming will be a bit slower than usual. East side trails and Pines Loop will get the fresh groom. Trails and shop open at 9. Gates close at 5. (We plan to be open tomorrow through Monday). #forbush #SkiMichigan
