Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 02/18
Wednesday the 18th and the storm hit us. It’s a combination of rain and snow. John is waiting it out to groom. Hoping for colder weather for tomorrow so he can groom.
Munising Schools are closed, the roads are dangerous and I won’t be going out to open the lodge today.

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> Munising High School Outdoor Ed teacher @Rachel Hoult brought her class out to Valley Spur for a day of adventure.
Their first stop was at South Bay Outfitters where they all got outfitted for skis, boots, and poles.
We started the morning with a 2+ mile snowshoe on the snowman loop. After lunch the group skied trail B. Thank you John Cromell for the fresh groom. They all did an awesome job tackling some pretty fast, and somewhat icy conditions.
The vitamin D was definitely a welcome addition to the day.
