TODAY’S BLOG
It’s FRIDAY!!!!! This morning looks dry so get up and get out here, as this afternoon and this evening will start looking wet. Don’t let the weather deter you from coming out, as the conditions are still Pure Michigan stellar. Snow conditions today will definitely be a spring type of snow, so expect softer conditions throughout the day. Tomorrow we have our HOPS AND HIGHLANDS BEER FESTIVAL! Check out the cool looking snow bars in the backyard of the main hotel that our snow surfaces team has built. Temperatures are going to get to about 49 today so bring out the shorts! We hope you enjoy your day at The Highlands! We are glad you’re here.
MITTEN LOVE PROMOTION: This is our way of celebrating Michigan’s incredible snow season! In honor of this amazing winter, we’re sharing spring with all Michiganders. Anyone with a valid season pass from ANY Michigan ski resort can ski or ride at The Highlands (March 1 – March 22, 2026) for just $25 per dayno blackouts. Must purchase in person at Resort Services.

A Michigan Craft Beer Celebration
We can’t wait for Hops ‘N Highlands to return on Saturday, March 7. Winter at The Highlands sets the scene for a day of Michigan craft beer, music, friendly competition, and après-style fun – all served slopeside.
Tickets are $25 and include access to the event and 4 sampling tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased at the event.
What to Expect:
Michigan craft beer tastings, après-style DJ vibes, and a full afternoon of winter fun.
Take on the IFOSH Stein Hoisting Championship at 2 PM for bragging rights and a $150 Highlands gift card, then keep things going with live music from Yankee Station at the Zoo Bar.
This 21+ celebration flows from afternoon tastings into an evening after-party.

SNOWMAKING | GROOMING UPDATE
Thank a snowmaker! As of now, we are well covered, and there is no need to make snow. Thanks to them and our 24/7 grooming team, conditions could not get much better.
LIFT TICKETS, RENTAL, & SKI SCHOOL
Before heading to the hill, you should buy your lift tickets online for the lowest rates. Rentals and lessons should be reserved 24 – 48 hours in advance. We now have a Winter Bundle that lets you bundle lift, rental, and a lesson to customize your experience. We also have a SnowFlex ticket pack, purchase 2 – 5 days of lift tickets and use them whenever it works out for you, with no blackout dates – 100% flexibility. We want it to be easy. Our Resort Services team is available in the Day Lodge to assist with any needs.

Today:
Showers, mainly after 4pm. Patchy fog before 10am, then patchy fog after 1pm. High near 49. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Tonight:
Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly after 1am. Patchy fog. Temperature falling to near 42 by 10pm, then rising to around 49 during the remainder of the night. Southeast wind around 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
