Gooooood morning Boyne Mountain! It’s Kyler, with today’s snow report.

A brief break in the action today. Partly cloudy with a high of 33° and winds light and variable.

After yesterday’s snow and wind show, today is giving us a breather. The calm before the storm, if you will. Get those laps in while conditions are mellow… because the main event moves in tonight.

Air & Après – TONIGHT at 7:45pm
This is it. Olympic, X Games, and pro athletes launch massive jumps and aerial tricks while the slope transforms into a jumbo screen bursting with motion graphics. Stick around for the athlete meet & greetbring a Sharpie.

Mountain Operations Note: Hemlock, the McLouth’s, and North Boyne close at 7pm. Mountain Express will continue to load skiers and riders to access terrain via Pierson’s or Kircher’s Corner. Normal night skiing resumes after the show ends.

Late Season Winter Storm: Saturday Night Through Monday

This is where is gets juicy: A late season winter storm has its sights set on us. There is some serious potential for us to see 12-24"+ of snow. Uncertainty still exists with regards to specific amounts and the location of where these highest amounts fall.

A brief break in winter weather is expected tomorrow, then the main event moves in Saturday night through Monday. Stay tuned… lots more info to come over the next 48 hours. I’m watching this closely.

Operations Update

Night skiing ends Saturday, March 14. Get those evening laps in while you still can.

Mountain Express has extended hours until 6pm, March 15-20. Take advantage of those extra hours on the slopes! Ramshead park is closed March 16-17 so the crew can refresh the park after this incoming weather. Fresh features incoming.

FIRST TRACKS

For season passholders: Mountain Express opens at 8:30am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. Get those fresh corduroy lines before anyone else.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS

Our snowmaking and grooming teams are actively working on closed terrain throughout the daytime hours. For everyone’s safety, please respect all closure signs and ropes. Great news, uphill skiing and skinning is allowed on designated routes during specific hours.
