XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/26
The skiing yesterday was just great! There was very little wind, plenty of sunshine and superb snow and trail conditions. Today looks good too. Dana will start Ginzu grooming all the trails at dawn this morning. We have excellent classic and skating conditions on all trails.
Lynne and Bob skied the beautiful Ogemaw Hills trails yesterday just North of West Branch. They were well groomed and are truly one of the Midwast’s best XC trail destinations.

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: all trails have freshly groomed snow.
A free Tree ID & Forest Management Tour will be led by a member of the Michigan Department of Agriculture on Saturday, February 28th at 10:00am. Participation in this event is free with an XC Ski HQ Facilities pass, and participants must be on skis or snowshoes, which may be rented for a nominal fee.
Today’s lunch special is the Classic Ham and Cheese panini. Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes and stone ground mustard served on Stone House bread, grilled to perfection on the famous HQ panini maker.We will also have have a fine selection of additional paninis and of course famous chili served with a warm 7
grain roll.
