XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/04

We received two inches of dense snow yesterday which allowed Ginzu Dana to set new tracks on all the trails that firmed up to perfection. Dana also snowcombed all the skating lanes nice and wide. As of 6:30am it is 16F and it is forecasted for more snow showers this morning. Groomer Matt will snowcomb all the skate lanes again this morning. Conditions for Classic and Skate skiing are great.

Forecast:

Today: Mainly cloudy with snow showers this morning. High 17F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. A few flurries are possible. Low -8F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: A mix of clouds and sun early, then becoming cloudy later in the day. High 16F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday night: A few clouds. Low -2F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the uppers 20’s and lows in the upper teens.

Snow Depth in Woods: 10 to 18

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 6 to 10

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: all trails have freshly groomed snow.

Today’s lunch special is the Classic Ham and Swiss Panini: Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, sliced tomatoes and stone ground mustard on Stone House bread. We will also have have a fine selection of paninis and, of course, famous chili and vegie chili served with a warm 7 grain roll.
