XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/09

We had a great day of skiing yesterday. Groomer Henry Ginzu groomed away the oak leaves, set new tracks and made the skating lanes magic carpets! He will start all over again early this morning. Our thanks to all the participants, volunteers, staff and organizers for helping to host of one the best Michigan Cup Relays ever!

Even though it is forecast to get into the low 40s today the snow pack is in great shape and skiing will be excellent for both skating and striding throughout the day. .

Forecast:
Today: Plenty of sunshine. High 44F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Mainly clear skies. Low 28F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 49F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tuesday night: Partly cloudy. Low 28F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny skies. High around 45F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Snow Depth in Woods: 10 to 18

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 6 to 10

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: all trails have freshly groomed snow.
